I made this Batman-themed themed wall lamp using an LED Strip and a Sunboard. You can also use Cardboard instead of Sunboard.
Things Needed:-
- Sunboard (https://amzn.to/2VSO8Xd)
- LED Strip (https://amzn.to/37Zbopv)
- LED Strip Adapter (https://amzn.to/3xOgzTw)
- A Plug
- Black Chart Paper (from any local store)
- Cardboard
- Glue gun and gluestick (https://amzn.to/37KBTPm)
- Wire
- Tape
- Glue
Steps:-
Step 1:
On the SunBoard, cut out the shape of the Batman logo. I had it already cut out (as in the last picture). Cut out the desired shape from a piece of chart paper, leaving enough space around it for the glue to easily fit into the back. To easily cut and fold the paper in curves, use scissors. It would resemble this in some ways.
Step 2:
Small cardboard pieces should be cut. They should adhere to the cut-out so that it will be simpler to adhere to the LED strip. As shown in the illustration below, paste the cut-border outs while leaving some room around it. To properly fix the LED strip, make sure you cut the pieces for the edges in accordance with their shape.
Step 3:
Paste the LED Strip into the pieces after slowly peeling off the adhesive. Make sure the output wire is placed on the inside. Cover the lamp’s edge before cutting out the LED where indicated. If the LED strip is cut incorrectly, the end of the strip may not light up properly.
Step 4:
Take the wire and attach it to the positive and negative of the LED strip. The length of the wire is up to you. If you don’t tape the wires together, a short circuit could happen. Connect the other end to the DC wires on the adapter. Ensure that the positive wire is connected to the adapter positive and the negative wire is connected to the adapter negative. In this case, tape is applied to each wire joint as well. You may understand it better if you look at the pictures.
Step 5:
Take two 1 square inch pieces of cardboard and glue them together to mount them on a wall. Create two or three more of the same kind (as many as required). Apply them with glue to the cut-backouts in the areas that are empty. After that, fix those pieces on the wall by covering them with hot glue. Hold it there for a few minutes after pressing it against the wall to allow the glue to dry. Cut out the lamp from a piece of cardboard as shown below for a temporary fixture. Place it on top of a second small piece of cardboard and paste it in the center of the cut-out. It is now ready to be hung on the wall.
